Buttons Built for Adventure: The 2026 Ford Bronco Sport Steering Wheel Tech

Discover how the 2026 Ford Bronco Sport puts audio, cruise control, driver-assist settings and vehicle information right at your fingertips with smart steering wheel controls designed for everyday driving and weekend adventures.

The 2026 Ford Bronco Sport may be built for adventure, but its steering wheel technology is designed to make everyday driving just as easy. With conveniently positioned controls for entertainment, vehicle information and driver-assistance features, Bronco Sport drivers can handle many common functions without taking their hands away from the wheel.

One side of the steering wheel provides quick access to audio and communication controls. Drivers can raise or lower the volume, move between compatible audio selections and access voice-command functions without reaching for the 13.2-inch SYNC® 4 touchscreen. SYNC 4 also supports wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, so these steering-wheel controls can be particularly handy when listening to music, podcasts or connected smartphone content.

The steering wheel also lets the driver interact with information displayed in the Bronco Sport’s digital instrument cluster. Using the directional and menu controls, drivers can move through available vehicle information and settings while keeping important details directly in their line of sight.

Where the controls become especially useful is with the 2026 Bronco Sport’s driver-assistance technology. Ford lists Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go, Lane Centring and Predictive Speed Assist as standard equipment on models including Big Bend, Heritage and Badlands. Steering-wheel controls allow the driver to activate cruise control, choose a desired speed and adjust the following-distance setting between the Bronco Sport and traffic ahead.

Adaptive Cruise Control can automatically adjust the Bronco Sport’s speed as traffic conditions change, while Lane Centring can provide steering assistance to help keep the SUV positioned within its lane. These technologies remain driver-assistance features, so the driver still needs to stay attentive and ready to control the vehicle.

Depending on configuration, the 2026 Ford Bronco Sport can also be equipped with a premium-wrapped steering wheel, while Badlands offers an available heated premium-wrapped wheel—an especially welcome feature during cold Canadian mornings.
